We had a positive experience with Jack and his team at North Hollywood repair, one that speaks to their integrity more than anything. After having our 1982 Mercedes towed there late one night (there is an easy night drop process for after hours), Jack called us early the next morning (a Saturday) to check in. After a few hours he called again to offer a diagnosis. He felt that, given the age of the car and the fact it was privately imported/gray market, his team weren't in the best position to work on it. Instead he recommended other mechanics, cleaned up the spark plugs (gunked out as a symptom of the more major problem), and allowed us to keep it at his lot for no charge throughout Saturday and all day Sunday through to Monday morning.When we picked it up, although I had researched an estimate cost of about $100 for the work (let alone the storage time, time on the phone explaining stuff to us etc) he refused to charge us anything. Although the problem wasn't resolved we really felt they treated us with great integrity. They focus on newer cars (well 1990s on) and from my experience I would feel reassured taking your car to them.
